Donate: Help Ontario move towards a renewable electricity future

Action on climate change can't wait. As the single largest source of greenhouse gas emissions in the province (and among the largest in the country), Ontario's four remaining coal plants must be replaced with cleaner energy sources as quickly as possible.

Thanks to the work of the Ontario Clean Air Alliance, Ontario has now committed to end coal use by 2014.  The province's next challenge is how to address future energy needs while replacing aging nuclear plants.  Once again, the OCAA is leading the way with our vision of a province that returns to using renewable energy sources to meet its electricity needs.  We believe that green energy is the future of this province and we are working hard at proving that Ontario can obtain 100% of its grid-supplied electricity needs from renewable sources by 2030.

Our campaign is also geared to ensuring that Ontario does not repeat past mistakes -- subsidizing unreliable and risky nuclear plants that could well leave us once again dependent on dirty coal plants in the event of breakdowns or construction delays.   

Please support our work to take Ontario toward a clean energy future.  Our health, our environment and our economy depend on us getting it right at this historical crossroads. Moving towards a renewable electricity grid will cement this province's position as a global leader on climate change and improving air quality and make our province a great place to live, work and play.  But it won't happen without your support and without effective voices for change like the Ontario Clean Air Alliance.

You will not receive a charitable receipt but you will be helping us ensure governmental accountability on the critical issue of action on climate change and green energy.
