Manley's Spreadsheet Revisited

Manley's Spreadsheet Revisited: Natural Gas vs. Nuclear Power

According to the OPG Review Committee (the Manley Committee), Ontario’s cost of obtaining incremental electricity supply by proceeding with the re-start of the Pickering A Unit #1 nuclear reactor would be 2 to 3 cents per kilowatt-hour (kwh) less than the cost of building a new natural gas-fired combined-cycle power plant.
However, despite repeated requests, the OPG Review Committee refused to provide the OCAA with an electronic copy of the economic spreadsheet model that it says support its conclusion.
