2007 Provincial Election Questionnaire: East Toronto Transmission Line

Where do Ontario's 2007 candidates stand?

The Ontario Clean Air Alliance recently posed this question to provincial candidates:

Do you believe that the Minister of Energy should issue a directive to the Ontario Power Authority, pursuant to Section 25.30 of the Electricity Act, telling it to cancel its plans for the East Toronto Transmission Line; and develop an alternative strategy consisting of energy conservation and small-scale local generation to meet the electricity needs of downtown.

Here are the replies we received. (*all PDF)

OCAA also sent surveys to the candidates in the Markham and Scarborough-Centre ridings but got no response.
