Power to the people

According to Konrad Yakabuski, the premiers of Ontario and Quebec are both electricity separatists (Two Provinces That Can’t Plug In – June 26). That is, they will refuse to sign a long-term power deal that will lower Ontario’s rates and increase Hydro Quebec’s profits. His conclusion doesn’t make political or economic sense for our two new Liberal premiers. Working together for mutual advantage, they can make Ontario and Quebec, once again, the economic powerhouses of Confederation.
