We asked the candidates running in the November 2016 by-elections in Niagara West-Glanbrook and Ottawa-Vanier the following questions:

Question #1:   Do you support Ontario Power Generation’s proposal to raise the price of its nuclear electricity by 180% to pay for the continued operation of its money-losing Pickering Nuclear Station and to re-build the Darlington Nuclear Station?

Question #2:  Do you believe that the Pickering Nuclear Station should be closed in 2018 when its licence expires?

Question #3:   Should the Government of Ontario seek to negotiate a long-term electricity supply contract for Quebec water power which will allow us to cancel the Darlington Re-Build Project and lower our electricity rates?
