Questions for McGuinty’s Town Hall Meetings

The Government of Ontario could decide in as little as two months the future of our electricity system until 2050 and beyond.  Will it be more high-cost, high-risk nuclear power or will the province start moving aggressively toward a clean and green electricity future?

It is critically important that you, your friends and your family get out to the town hall discussions being held in communities across Ontario next week to tell Premier McGuinty and his government which future you’d like to see.  To assist you, we have prepared a short fact sheet outlining the key questions raised by the Ontario Power Authority’s Supply Mix Advice Report.  You can view the fact sheet and get information on the dates and locations of the meetings on our www.gocleanandgreen.org website.

We need to ensure that there is strong support for the building of an efficient, flexible, reliable and renewable electricity system at each of these meetings.  So please mark these important events in your calendar now and be sure to attend next week!

Monday, February 13th: Mississauga, Ottawa, Sarnia, Toronto;
Wednesday, February 15th:  Thunder Bay, Kingston, Oshawa, St. Catharines; and
Friday, February 17th: Kincardine, Kitchener-Waterloo, London, Sudbury.

Please pass this message on to your friends.
