 Time to chill out

August 3, 2006  –   After three of the hottest days of the summer, what could be better than an ice cream break?  Join us at 12:30 p.m. today at the Toronto Dominion Centre Courtyard when we will be helping Ben & Jerry’s launch Lick Global Warming — a campaign to get Canadians to do their part to reduce their climate change impact.

We know you will want to come out because you understand how important it is to tackle the threat of global climate change.  But just in case that isn’t enough, there will also be free ice cream.  And speakers.  And free ice cream.  And information about what you can do to reduce your energy use and greenhouse gas emissions.  And free ice cream.  (You get the picture.)

If you can’t make it down to the TD Centre for the free ice cream, check out www.lickglobalwarming.ca and, of course, our great contest website, www.gocleanandgreen.org where you can get lots of great ideas for reducing your climate change impact while also getting a chance to win great prizes — including a solar hot water system, $1,000 worth of green power, 12 energy saving appliances (including a deluxe gas grill), and six iPod nanos.

Come on down and help us beat the heat.

Please pass this message on to your friends.

Thank you
