It’s up to you

The message from all of the recent empty policy announcements and inter-governmental squabbling of the past few weeks on climate change couldn’t be clearer – if we want something to be done about these critically important (and planet altering) issues, we are going to have to do it ourselves.

That’s why over the next 12 months the Ontario Clean Air Alliance will be working full out – with your help – to get the message out that the fastest and most effective way for Ontario to massively reduce climate change and smog causing emissions is to get the phase-out of coal-fired electricity back on track.

Your help is needed to distribute our pamphlet explaining how this can be done in communities across the province.  In particular, we are looking for volunteers to help us distribute pamphlets in important ridings, such as Don Valley West and Markham, in order to ensure that this issue remains at the top of the agenda for all of our provincial leaders.

If you can help with these efforts, even for just a few hours, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Manisha Pahwa at or 416-557-2123.  If you would like pamphlets to distribute to your friends, family or co-workers, you can order them through our website at

Climate change is not going to be addressed with political hot air – we need action now.  Your help in getting the word out will be critical in deciding whether Ontario takes a leadership role on this issue or remains stalled while climate stability and air quality continue to decline.  Please come out and be a part of the solution!

Please pass this message on to your friends.

Thank you
