The IESO’s plan for Toronto’s electricity future is a failure on all counts:

– It fails to act on City Council’s clear direction to ensure the phase-out of the polluting Portlands Gas Plant by 2035;

– It will make Toronto (and Ontario) more reliant on American nuclear technology and imported American enriched uranium;

– It ignores revolutionary changes in renewable power and storage systems now sweeping the world.

We need a plan that phases out the Portlands gas plant by 2030. Tell our leaders the IESO needs to go back to the drawing board.
