We need action – not more delay – on clearing Toronto’s air
Four members of Toronto City Council’s Infrastructure and Environment Committee, including Councillor Paula Fletcher, have voted to delay action on shifting Toronto to a high-efficiency, renewable energy future.
Instead of supporting Councillor Dianne Saxe’s motion calling for city-owned Toronto Hydro to develop a plan to meet our electricity needs with renewable power, energy efficiency and storage rather than burning more fossil fuels, they voted to park the issue with the city’s bureaucracy. That’s simply not good enough.
Tell these four City Councillors that they need to stand up for clean air and a safe climate for everyone in Toronto >>
