The Impact Assessment Agency of Canada (IAAC) says it won’t examine possible alternatives to building the world’s largest nuclear station in Port Hope, Ont., because the project proponent – Ontario Power Generation – says there aren’t any.
This is obviously nonsense as the slightest bit of research would show, yet the federal agency can’t be bothered to question it. The result will be a sham of an assessment that leads Ontario toward spectacularly higher electricity bills and further delay on climate action.
Send a message to Prime Minister Carney, Environment Minister Julie Dabrusin, and your MP. Ask them to tell the IAAC to do its job >>
