The future is green
Costs for renewable energy sources like wind, solar and water continue to fall rapidly. Technology for producing and storing green energy is also quickly advancing. But Ontario has chosen this moment to jump off the green energy bandwagon and head back to the past by spending tens of billions of dollars on outdated nuclear technology instead.

In the United States, jobs in solar and wind are growing faster than almost any other sector. But Ontario has now jumped off this good jobs train.
Meanwhile, places like Quebec and California are reaping the benefits of leadership in renewable energy. Even Alberta is turning green, securing record-low prices for wind energy and rapidly deploying solar while creating new jobs and businesses.
Nuclear energy is shrinking worldwide thanks to its high costs and high risks. Ontario needs to get back on track by putting job-creating wind and solar front and centre again in its energy plans.
Ontario also has the advantage of being able to work with Quebec to backstop wind and solar with low-cost water power. It’s a win-win solution that won’t leave us with a radioactive future.
So ask your election candidates: “What will you do to restore Ontario’s leadership in renewable energy?” And sign the petition below to support a 100% renewable future.
