Capital Power is proposing to increase the pollution from its Goreway fossil fuel fired power plant by more than 80%. If Capital Power’s proposal is approved by the Ford Government, Goreway’s air pollution in 2032 will be equal to that of 266,000 cars.

The people of Brampton and the GTA do not need more health damaging pollution and climate damage. Ontario has many better options for meeting its electricity needs than by expanding the Goreway fossil gas power plant.
