The federal government is joining our provincial government in throwing money at high-cost, slow-to-deploy U.S. nuclear reactors in Ontario instead of investing in cutting-edge renewable energy systems. This is not how you build a nation that can compete on the world stage (and fend off American economic attacks).
Spending billions on technology that has already lost the race instead of much more efficient solar and wind power combined with storage will make our climate and economic problems worse, not better.
Tell Prime Minister Carney to build a modern east-west electricity grid powered by low-cost renewable energy – wind, water, solar and storage. That’s how we build an economically competitive Canada. >>
