The world is racing toward a clean, renewable energy future.
Ontario, meanwhile, is stuck in the past — clinging to a 1950s-era energy model built around massive centralized power plants fed by a steady diet of dirty fossil fuels and toxic uranium.
If we we don’t change course soon, Ontarians will pay the price with higher electricity bills driven by pricey nuclear megaprojects, decades more climate and air pollution from continued gas burning, and the costliest electricity system in Canada.
The good news: we can still turn this around – and we’re doing it!
Thanks to supporters like you, the Ontario Clean Air Alliance is delivering real results. Just last week, we helped secure a major win at Toronto City Council: a clear commitment to chart a path to a local, affordable energy future powered by renewables, efficiency and storage.
Can you help us to keep the momentum going? Your financial support is is what allows our small but mighty team to keep pushing back against outdated thinking, holding decision-makers accountable, and advancing real solutions that lower bills, clean our air, and protect our climate.
The energy world is changing fast – whether Queen’s Park likes it or not. Our job is to make sure the people of Ontario benefit from that change instead of being locked to a polluting, outdated past.
You can help us with this critical work by making a charitable donation today.
Thank you for standing with us this past year – we truly couldn’t do this work without you!
