Offshore winds over the Great Lakes are in a league of their own — stronger, steadier, and more powerful than winds on land. With higher speeds, greater consistency and denser air, offshore wind farms can generate MORE clean energy with fewer turbines.

Offshore wind power has the potential to supply 100% of Ontario’s electricity within a small footprint of our Great Lakes — it is also half the cost of new nuclear.

It’s time for Ontario to lower our bills and reduce our climate impact by leading the way on developing climate friendly wind power in our lakes.
