Tonight at 7 p.m. we will be diving into the Ford government’s plan to build the world’s largest nuclear station east of Toronto. This gargantuan undertaking would have up to 10 reactors and occupy hundreds of acres of waterfront land in Port Hope, a town already dealing with a legacy of radioactive contamination.

Join our webinar to learn more about lower cost and more sustainable alternatives, and how to have your say about a project which would likely cost about $230 billion.

☀️ To participate in the webinar, register here. If you can’t join us tonight, you can watch the recording of the webinar on our youtube page.

☀️ Have your say by sending comments to the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada (IAAC), either through its IAAC portal, or email your comments directly to wesleyville@iaac-aeic.gc.ca. Please ask the IAAC to direct OPG to look at the cleaner, safer and lower cost alternatives (e.g., offshore wind, solar, storage) to building the world’s largest nuclear station.

Thanks for engaging!
